Meet Dr. Yvonne Umezurike
I was just 17 years old when I heard that my grandmother needed both of her feet removed. As a high school student, the concept was scary and traumatic. No one in my family really understood the link between diabetes and amputation; we didn't even know that Mama could face such a fate. She passed away 3 weeks after the surgery. It became my life mission at that point to learn more about it and educate the masses with the knowledge I acquired. I'm now a foot doctor practicing in Baltimore, MD. My goal is to help people around the world to prevent the same foot issues that my grandma faced and to help save your feet!
Simplifying Diabetic Foot Wounds so that you can prevent an amputation

Gabriela's Testimony
I love Dr Yvonne! She did a procedure on my foot earlier this year and was very professional in explaining to me my options for treatment and the reasoning for her diagnosis/recommended treatment. Also my foot looks great after the procedure (no scarring/complications). She also remembered my name and asked about the book I was reading when I came in recently :) she really cares about her patients!
